Beam Measurement

I have an 06 Sabre and the beam measurement is listed at 92". I measured it yesterday and the beam is at best 90" from side rail bumper to side rail bumper, not even from the fiberglass side to fiberglass side, thats only about 88". Is this supposed to be that way, because in my friends "R" brand boat it is alot wider and it is listed at 92"?

I believe the beam measurement is the widest point of the boat, not just the front deck. D.

I measured it at all areas of the boat from transom to bow, and the widest spot is at best 90″ from rubber bumper to rubber bumper.

Not correctly it seems. It is 92.6″ at the widest beams on all new style Sabres. With the Round Rub rail insert, and the rub rail is included in all measurements on all brands. Rope style rub rail is a bit smaller. BCB
