Follow BCBs advice. If you over pump it with grease you can screw up the seals — not good!Left my boat on the shoulder of I-35 2 times in the past until someone told me why it was happening. BCB, are you saying just do it every few years? I was told its a good thing to do annually.

Sure they will come back and answer you but figured I would also. BC does a very good job of packing these from the factory. Just got back from a 3000 mile journey and mine never even got warm to the touch. I have a 06 PUMA that came from one of their Pro-Staff guys out of Texas. Have had the boat almost 2 years. I live in Mississippi. Have been to Mountain Home with it last year to the OI. Have not touched mine sense I bought it. So in answering your question it depends on how much you are pulling your boat. If you are just a casual weekend fisherman you should be fine for at least 2 years or 3 years. I would just reach down and touch the wheel from time to time after I have been pulling it and stop at a gas station. If it is warm or getting hot than you have a problem and need to get it fixed. Will give you a little tip. BC will sell you the whole hub with new bearings, seals and freshly packed shipped to your door for a very reasonable price. When I do mine I will buy all 4 of them at one time and replace the whole thing. Alot less mess and hassle. Good LuckJoey

Actually 247, just repacking those bearings and replacing the seals is a pretty simple process. It might be a bit messy, though it is a lot less expensive than new hubs. A 1999 would be drum brakes and it would be a good idea to check the brakes assemblies at the same time. The brake assembly probably needs bleeding by now as moisture is absorbed by the fluid and the fluid does not heat up like your vehicle brakes and disperse as much moisture.BCB

Just never liked packing those things. Is a mess to say the least !! Figured I would do mine next year and have youll send me the other 3. Got 1 from you before I left on my journey. Thought I would just bring youll the 4 used ones when I came to the OI and let youll do them !!! ThanksJoey
