OK, so I have a little follow-up on this. Richard called me this morning and pointed out that I only need the sheet metal screws and can disregard the machine screws and inserts since I don’t have a removable seat pan. One screw through each hinge and a screw in each back corner. Knew it had to be uncomplicated but the extra hardware made me second guess things. Project will be done tonight after work.

It is cool to see that old thread resurface every now and again.  For the OP, make sure you heed the comment about preventing water intrusion into the under-seat storage. Here it is –

“Best method to prevent water from leaking into the under seat storage after the bucket upgrade: Get a food tray to keep the water from leaking into the under seat storage. Cut it in half length wise and install a half upside down on the aft portion of the storage. Works like a charm and still gives you access to the storage.”
