Tagged: eyra
Hey guys,
I currently own a 2022 Eyra rigged with a 300 pro xs 4 stroke. Prop on it now is a 25 fury 3 blade. Hole shot is pretty good. 4 lithium batteries, 1 AGM cranking battery, 10 ft power poles, single console, fuel tanks full, live wells full, 2 guys tournament loaded we are getting 75 ish MPH. Do you guys think this is reasonable? I was thinking the top speed was a little on the low side. Just wondering if anyone has tried a 26 fury 3 blade or if anyone has any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
The 10′ poles will effect it some. Overall you look close to expectations, and could improve for sure. We would try a 24 Fury for learning and we think it should push you better. Also be aware of engine height, because if you are pushing into the 6000 plus RPM range, you are slipping and that means inefficiency on performance. Be sure to watch your rooster tail, and it should be no more than cowling height at most running.
Most 300 Pro XS engines do run a 25 or 24 Fury, with your loads the 24 would be our suggestion. Those 10′ poles do add some leverage and weight up high, plus wind drag.

Thanks BCB.
Have you guys ever done any testing with the 26 Bravo 1 FS? Or do you think this prop would be another good option??
We have tested Bravo’s and they are all the same blades, with alternate venting in shorter and longer hub configurations. We have run all of the accessible wheels and those Fury propellers are the best overall to date.
Some do like the Bravo, though we prefer just dropping a pitch as you going to usually lose some performance. Of course all boats are very different and no two operate the same. In time, we only found one actual individual boat that performed well with a Tempest. We tried on many others and that one boat just liked it, while others did not.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.
Cheers Shawn
What are your rpms with the 25 Fury at 75mph? What does it run solo and light for comparison?
Rpms are a little low around 5900 at 75 MPH. To be honest the boat handles better loaded with full live wells, full fuel, 2 guys etc. I can get to 75 MPH running solo and light, but the chime is ridiculous. Will be trying a 24-pitch fury 3 blade and a 25 pitch Bravo 1 FS shortly. Probably going to lose some speed but handling should be better Plus RPM should be sitting good.
