Back a few (many) years ago one of our friends locally was a brilliant engineer who worked on trolling motors. He was a retired designer who was not soft spoken and rather entertaining. Another of our local angler friends always liked the Motorguide Troller, though the Minn Kota bracket and the Motorguide foot pedal. Our local designer took those components and turned out a combo rig at the request of the angler. Both are and were pretty sharp cookies with the designer having many patents, and some of which were locked up by the military. The trolling motor was really ahead of its time then using the best of those parts to make one. Like comboing a Ford and Chevy. Nice mod!

Have you figured out how to get the arrow to not break? Im very happy with my move back to MG, I can switch out props as needed for grass. After all these years you would think they would have figured out how to keep an arrow straight. The rack and pinion system didnt hold up long term and this new system broke on my TE 82 within a year. Id buy that fix right now!I hope the mount deal works out for you.
