Bobs jackplate problems

2022 caracal mercury 225 4 stroke.   Jack plate works fine until I Raise it for hole shot and as I break over I try to lower it and it won’t lower until boat planes out and I slow down to keep from blowing out and then it will lower again.  Any ideas.  Work fine until under a load.

Called Bob’s.   They had me adjust the down pressure with a set screw on the side.  Hope it works

Also lubricate the plate and it’s common when they dry out.
