They shouldn’t come like that as we buy individual bolts with different lengths for that reason. If someone installed the wrong length bolt, that’s possible. We apologize if we are responsible for the bolt length, and we will verify that others are not that way.

Shame I’m having to “break out another thousand” on a brand new premium HIGH dollar bass boat for lack of quality control, especially considering this is my first brand new boat. Not to mention lid shock on port center storage keeps popping off every time I open it so I guess I’m out that cost for another shock as well.
No, contact your dealership and they should be able to get all this managed for you.
The ball socket popping off is all geometry and the bracket mounting. Some require a different angle where the brackets mount. Prop the lid open, and removing the shock from one end will allow it to free lay at the angle it stows inside the closed lid. the shock must free lay without the ball socket having pressure against the shoulder on the ball. That’s what causes them to pop off. Have the dealership technician pop one end and lay the shock down, then pop the opposing end and check that end for shoulder contact. It’s simply just wedging the ball socket off the pin ball.

Dealership was contacted while I was still sitting at the boat ramp, seems to me that they should have made it right. Maybe bass cat could lean on them a bit to help resolve things?
Funny thing mine came the same way also , just last week came off the trailer now I have a large and DEEP GASH to fix .This is a 2022 P2 so it has been going on for a while . Going to call Bass Cat to see what they will do
I mentioned it to basscat over the phone when I was ordering spacer blocks for trolling motor and was brushed off, which is why I ended up getting on here hoping someone would be of assistance. I was torn between a fully rigged phoenix 721 and the eyra that had no electronics for the same money. I went with the eyra for the feel of quality it carries in the water and I assumed translated to the smaller details of the boat especially considering the price, but have had several issues regarding first and foremost the bow roller bolt along with lid shock and also the trolling motor breaker switch that bleeds power by to my garmin trolling motor and the volt reader on bow showing numbers when it’s sitting idle due to the second outing of boat it was caught in a nasty thunderstorm and was saturate. Hopefully the volt display switch will dry out and quit being a problem and i’ll just replace the breaker with a better one of my liking but leaving that bow roller bolt hanging way out there on a brand new boat is unacceptable. Someone aught to be fired for screwing up and costing us money over in the trailer division.
People are human and they make mistakes. We understand the frustration on the bolt, though it’s a 1/2” longer on a 6.5” or 7” bolt. It would be very easy for a new person to make that mistake. It could have even been lack of training and that was discussed, as was purchasing buying that bolt, QC awareness that the error needs rectified and production manager awareness to move on the personnel. The factory production models were viewed last week and we found a two long bolts like yours. It’s being addressed and we are glad to save someone else some potential difficulty. It’s also very hard to miss that roller when the nose bunk ends are set properly. Thus the jig is being revisited and verifying they are using the jig instead of simple visual appearance on placement.
They will take care of you. They almost always do. If you did a lot of research you found a hundred good stories for every not so good one. I know, it doesn’t help when you are the one but they are working to resolve your issues. No ones perfect. They take care of their new and used boat buyers. I’m on my second used purchase and never felt less valued because I didn’t buy new. Get the same service as everyone else when I call. The last response should tell you they are addressing this not only for you but everyone. Who’s ever heard of a company of any size these days that not only went out on the production floor or on the lot to check every trailer to see if it happened again. Not only did they find a couple, they publicly confirmed it for all to read. Who does that? Things will get worked out and don’t worry, soon or later, you are gonna goof and damage the boat or trailer. We’ve all done it (my last goof was backing into the flag pole in front of camp which turned out to be rotting inside and came down. Thankfully away from the boat! Crap happens…….)
Try not to let a couple issues ruin your overall experience. You have a great rig that’s a ball to drive and will get you anywhere you want to go. BTW, welcome to the family. Us old family member love pictures by the way (hint hint). Show us you stuff Mr. Parker!

I think she’s a fine looking rig, really shines in the sun and really lights up at night when we’re out past dark . Fishes well and handles great with the trolling motor down. I’m pleased with the hull quality and performance.
Nice looking cat with great colors. Congratulations.
Sharp rig!!!!
This is in my opinion how it should be instead of having a bolt stick out to cause damage. That they have knowledge about, it would probably eliminate the issue
I trimmed mine flush with the nut and checked to see if it would make contact at the ramp and it was fine. It’s purely a matter of them making sure things leave the way they’re supposed to. A QC guy needs to be on the hook for sending several out that are defective. I wonder if they have contacted the dealerships to see just how many are currently on the lot with the wrong bolt.
