1/2 inch bolt would take a 203ff bearing , available at any auto parts store . ( GM front alternator bearing ) – Interesting idea R/G .

Looks like the 203FF wouldBe perfect. Usually mine rolls fine till I bump the roller just a tad hard with the boat. It than bends the bolt slightly and stops rolling. Thats when the roller wear begins. I figure bearings in each side with a higher grade bolt, and not only would the roller not wear, it wouldnt wear on the gelcoat.

The only problem with a harder bolt is that if you come in a little too hot and bang it hard enough it will snap . ( grade 5 bends – grade 8 snaps ) — I just replace the bolt and / or roller whenever needed and let er bump !!
