BR200 is Headed to Lake Norman NC

BR200 made the BASS Weekend Series Nationals after winning the Regional Tournament on Buggs Island on the co-angler side and we head up Saturday for the National Championship. I plan on practicing with him on Sunday and Monday and then come back to work a few days and go back Thursday night. The high school senior has been holding his own fishing with the adults in the SC West Weekend Series this year and I feel good about his chances next week. We went in with some friends who also made the Nationals and rented a house on the lake. Brad was able to work it out with his teachers and principal to be out of school for a week so that was great of them. Wish Brad luck and I will post something next week about how hings are going. I know youre as proud of your son as I am of mine. He just turned 17 and will be fishing in the BWS national tournament also next week. Ill be pulling for the young guns to strut their stuff next week and hopefully take home the BIG money. Good luck to your son although Im hoping that he finishes a close 2nd to my son. LOL All kidding aside, I hope your son does very well as I know he will. This is such a great opportunity for our kids to learn more about the sport we all love. They are the future of our sport and we need to encourage them all that we can.

Reid Prescott…its sad when the kid makes it and dad isnt good enough to make the cut…well be arriving on Sat night to start prefishing on Sun…what is your sons name so we can keep up with his progress

Good Luck! – Tough Lake. I fish Norman all the time, as I live not far from the lake. We just fished the Special Olympics benefit tournament there this past weekend. 150 teams……13 lbs won it. I wish you the best. Charles

I will have Reid in my boat Sun.,Mon., And Tues., prefishing with me, and hopefully learning a lil sumthin about the lake, and how to get some better bites. Reid is a great kid, and really good fisherman, so Brad will have some competition ! I will be competing on the boater side, and im looking forward to getting on the water. Good luck to all, and Reid and i will be in a maroon on malubu red(black) Cougar AE, if you see us give us a shout ! Doug. BTW,,,,762 miles ! #$%! For us. I think it is something like 2.5 hours from Hartwell.
