Brand New Pantera II

I took delivery of my new 2013 Pantera II a couple of Sundays ago. I took Monday and Tuesday off from work to get familiar with it. I spent all day Monday going through it in my garage with a fine tooth comb and loading my gear into it. I’m very particular when it comes to major purchases that I have built up in my mind, so naturally I disappoint easily. I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. I couldn’t find one thing out of place or that didn’t fit up perfectly and feel solid. I checked every nook and cranny! It was perfect. On Tuesday I took it to the lake for its maiden voyage and motor break in. I was blown away by the performance of the boat with the Mercury 200 Pro XS. The hole shot was the best I have experienced and the ride was very good. I had to keep it under 5400 rpm, but still hit 67 mph on the GPS, I don’t really even know how to drive it to its max potential yet. I think it had 3-5 mph more with trim/throttle. All of the other systems worked perfectly and were easy to use. I had no issues launching or driving back onto the trailer alone. I also wanted to give thumbs up to Gibson Bait and Tackle in Locust Grove, OK, which is the dealership I bought from. Josh did a tremendous job with customer service. He was very responsive to my various questions and has done a good job explaining everything to me and with follow up. Even took a couple of hours out of mother’s day to go to the dealership for me to take delivery (I joked with friends it was my wife’s Mother’s Day present, they didn’t buy it!). So to sum up I wanted to say that BassCat did a great job of producing my dream rig flawlessly. I’m so happy I went with BassCat and look forward to many years and many memories.
