Bulb size

I have been searching for a few hours now on the forum and cannot find the size for the bulbs in the flip courtesy lights. I am pretty sure someone posted it before, but all the old pictures are gone since Photobucket went nuts. If anyone can help it would be great. I cannot get to my boat to find out as it is in Arkansas right now.

Those are an old Chrysler Dodge truck interior light assembly and most automotive parts shops with have that cylindrical tube style light bulb. It often is not the bulb though and it is the bronze roller corroding and not rolling free or getting a good contact. We seldom see a bulb bad, usually its just a dirty contact.

They are festoon bulbs. I believe the originals are 36mm. I recently replaced all of mine with 39mm LEDs. I used red on the deck and white on the console. As BCB said, make sure you clean the contacts really well while you have it apart. If the whole housing come out, clean it up and put new silicone on it to prevent water leaking inimthe boat.

Thanks, I had already cleaned the contacts and saw when 1 bulb burnt out. I forgot the old bulb on the deck of the boat when we left and just needed to know the length so I could get some leds to replace them.
