Can a “high limit” trim switch be adjusted on a Merc

On my 2016 225 Merc you can trim too high when installing my Lous Motor Toter. If youre not paying attention you can easily trim too high and rigging tube hits the spash well of my Caracal. When this happens it pops the rigging tube adapter out of the motor. I have to pry it back in with a 2x4. Im worried this is just going to break after a few more times. It would be nice if you could set how high you can actually trim the motor.

On a 200 Pro XS, you have to add a tilt limit switch. I would imagine it would be the same on the 225

Sounds like your motor toter is too long Gary. Did you get the adjustable one? I had Lou send me one of those. I have no issues with the rigging tubes hitting my splashwell when installing it. I had one I got from BCB (non adjustable) It was for the Cougar I had. It was way too long, motor sat very high when installed. I sent it back to BCB.

yes it can be added. though it would probably be cheaper / easier to remedy the transom saver you have.

Pay close attention letting down as well!. You will fold the back crossmember. It dont take but a bump or two and youve done moved the crossmember 3/4″.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
