Carpet Decal

Ive seen some carpet decals on boats that are larger than those in the store, and have the "Feel the Rush" tag line...are these aftermarket jobs or is there somewhere I can get one of those...?

Joe,I was about to post this very question my self. I am interested in the response as well, the decal in my 2008 Puma could use some attention.Mike

Joe I believe it depends on which decal it is.If its the decal that is made of carpet then the only option is new carpet or taking some dye to the carpet or marker to color in the basscat logo.If it is the iron on decal I believe when BCB released them this was discussed and the only option was to recarpet the box and put a new sticker on it?The carpet under the logo will have the knapf somewhat melted I would suspect and may or may not hold another decal and probably wont let you pull the old one off.C.O.D. Silly me, I assumed they would last as long as the carpet should. I guess they are more like a tatoo on a human, there is no way to eliminate it without some damage to the host and they look good at first but add 20-40 lbs (or years of sun) and lookout!!

The new ones arent dye but are ironed on I believe? More like supergluing a basscat logo on your armC.O.D. Jr. III

Here are some pictures I took of the before and after of the Bass Cat logo from my 2006 Puma. The color was completely gone and I used a red magic marker (permanent kind) to put the color back on it. I did it maybe 3 times to get it the nice brite red it originally was. The pictures arent really the best and it looks better in person. Since the pictures were taken I even went back around the border with a black market and it really made it pop.John

I did that with mine, but it only lasted a few months. I then went to a crafts store and got some die, and this worked great EXCEPT that if you sat on it or rubbed up against it it would come off, and I ruined a few pair of shorts and some T-shirts. I saw somewhere in the forum some picures where someone removed it, but that was not what they were advertising. I am going to try and remove mine and them put an iron over it. JR

personal preference, but many put it upside down as you say so when their lids are open, its right side up to the viewer…does that make sense?

It an iron on to get best adhesion. You use a towel over it over it is placed and before placement you brush the knap down slightly for better surface area.
