Carpet on trailer runner

It happened to mine too. I put more carpet on the last 2 feet one time at the ramp. I think part of the reason is you need to have the trailer further in the water on launch so the rear of the boat is floating off the trailer and not powering off.

I do that most of the time I have the water coming over the front step.

The area is from the sharp rear corners cutting into the carpet when powering off. BCB

BCB will this cause a problem to the boat if not repaired? It looks like I am still seat on carpet. What is the cost for two outside runner? est.

The wood is usually pretty soft there and there is little damage on older hulls. Though eventually you should replace the carpeting when you get a chance. The bunks probably are not in bad shape, just the carpeting. Newer 20 trailers have the rear bunk bracket lowered about 3/8 to a 1/4″ for a drop and to prevent this from occurring as much, though the hull can slide back now when unconnected.
