Carpeted Center Console Box w/ Cup Holders

I replaced middle seat with the box on my 2011 PII. Not a problem and the box fits well, compartment stays dry. Quality is ok, would rather cup holders be toward the front of the box for easier acess when driving but just my preference. Did look at the custom box that is being made for Bass Cat Boats from another company and would love to have it as it looks great but not willin to drop $400+ for it, yet. lol.

CassbassI installed one on a 2004 classic so not sure if exactly the same for a P II BUT, on mine the center seat was secured by rivets to the seat pan. On a classic the fuel tank is underneath the seat pan so I removed it to be safe. Simple to do with screws. Then simply drilled out rivets, removed center seat. Riveted center console in place and secured seat pan in place. Nice fit between seats.

Cassbass,I know what you mean about missing the cup holders. My old basscat had one on the driver and passenger side my 05 classic does not have any. I ordered the box a couple of weeks ago. There is a little bit of storage with the box too Im looking forward to. Feel free to IM me if you want any more details about the install. I have a carpeted step box on my cougar an find it very handy to have. Third person just gets to sit on a cushion. I was able to find this pic…can sort of see how it fits.

I needed the fold down seat for our grandbaby. So when it came to drink holders I installed the fold down type on each side. I was surprised how well they actually work. Double sided adhesive and no drilling. Last edited by GRR884 on December 20th, 2012, 1:52 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I installed a carpeted box on my previous 00 jag and I have the fiberglass box on my 10 Puma. I like the hand retractable hand hold strap on the fiberglass box, but I prefer the small storage of the carpeted box. Here is my question – is it possible to install a hand retractable hand hold strap on the carpeted box? If not, is it possible to install the chrome bar under the seat w/out damaging the under-seat belly fuel tank? Thanks.
