Changing out the transducer

2021 Caracal with a Helix transducer installed at the BC factory. How much of a pain would it be to replace the transducer that is mounted on the transom and routed to the drivers console? Are things cable tied together as in just related to the Helix or cable tied to other cables as well? How is the Helix stuff routed as far as how it gets to the console?

It could be a pain. Depends on what you call a pain! It could be tie wrapped to other wires but is usually under the console or in the rear corner. You will just have to investigate and pull on the transducer cable. Put ting a small amount of vaseline on the transducer connector might help some. It will also help to remove the gear shift box from the side of the boat to locate the cable there as well. Running a new transducer cable to the console is just the opposite but use a pull wire or fish tape. It all depends on effort and your abilities! Good luck!
