In my experience the passenger actually lessens chine walk. The added weight and balancing of weight always helped it.

I agree with what Bama says.I am wondering if you are more port balanced with just you in the boat.Putting a passenger in the boat is making it unbalanced or port heavy.

The boy is a meer 180 about like me.I did notice it leaned to port since I have seats on the port side to keep it level when by myself but once on plane it balances out so I didnt think the weight distribution was that big a factor…though I can put 40 lbs in the front and notice a difference. I think maybe what BCB said, just trying to make it run like its empty. Though Ive never run it really empty…I carry a load of too much tackle.Still, it starts walking bad with him and I have 300-400 rpm leftover.

Seat time will solve that problem. I have an 09 Puma FTD 250 Pro XS and the 26 Fury and after a year I can drive it like I stole it. It takes driver input above 70 or so. It took time to get a feel for what she wants, but once I did I found out what everybody was talking about on ride, performance, etc.

I gotta agree with VanWho, steering input can help this and often it will settle in.
