When I purchased my 2005 Sabre I ordered an Aurora cover. The Aurora cover is well constructed and does a great job of covering the boat but here’s my thoughts on Aurora vs Dean’s.
Although I throughly sprayed the Aurora Cover with Scotguard waterproofing the cover still got wet and heavy. After arriving at your designation you have to find somewhere to dry your cover.
The Aurora cover gets soiled a lot easier than a Dean’s. The Aurora cover is much more difficult to cover & uncover when doing it by yourself. The securing of the Aurora cover is more difficult than Dean’s.
Also I prefer the “look” of the Dean’s cover over the Aurora cover. I had a Dean’s cover on my last boat and when I ordered my Cat I should have ordered a Dean’s instead of the Aurora. But on the positive side I still can put the Aurora cover over the Dean’s if it gets really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really bad out.
Bottom line is that their both great covers but I prefer Deans.
