If you have a local university, call and ask if they have a polymer science department. I used to work at the University of Southern Mississippi and they have a great one. I could walk into the chairs office, show him something and ask “OK, how do I dissolve this mess?” He would look, poke, prod, etc and mix up a brew that would take it off like butter. We had a faculty member that pissed off a few students, and started getting things like superglue in his door key lock, or RTV in there, or polyester resin in there. And the polymer people could get it out without a big hassle. The only issue on a boat is you want to make sure they give you something that will take the adhesive off and leave the gel-coat untouched. A wild-eyed polymer scientist might not be the best bet there.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
