Corp meeting and marina owners

We all need to get along and we see all positions of this. We must be diplomatic in our approach and we may have to give some around fuel stations and retail stores. Those areas technically may be able to be preserved by the lease. Though we also give on swim beaches and other areas. This may not be deemed much different. Though overall the attitude tonight needs to be one of cooperation and not confrontation. They know that there were no processes followed in this decision that exuded public cooperation. There were open meetings iwth the marina owners in Little Rock, though they were not openly published across the state or in the areas in question. Lets go in tonight with a stride of grace and exit as the situation requires from the cooperation received. BCB

(Speaking in a normal tone of voice) I dont want to be confrontational and I know that some dock owners may be influenced by the boat owners that lease the stalls. And I dont have problem with the gas pumps being off limits. No fishermen wants to get hooked up in any of the gas lines and maybe cause a puncture and cause a really big problem. And some stall owners find hooks sometimes on their covers or boats. If your fishing those and get hung up, ( it happens, lets face it) you should go get it, not break off and leave something around to raise the hackles of those that lease stalls. If I get to go to the meeting, I wont go in with a chip on my shoulder and Im willing to cooperate. But not to the point of the marinas off limits and that snowballing into the whole lake being off limits. Where will it end up? Please dont take my tone wrong here. Hard to relate that in emails and forums.

Diplomatic in approach but firm in proper proceedure. No emotion. Just fact. If water quality is an issue – I have seen first hand large pleasure boats on lifts while the owners clean the hulls with very strong cleaners. LOZ and maybe all MO waterways some chemical cleaners were banned. It does not stop the owners of these large boats from using the good-old-stuff to clean their boats. Maybe marine owners would back down on their position if water quality was made an issue and brought to corps AND public attention and that the marina owners should be responcible for water quality at their place of business (gas spills, cleaning agents, antifreeze dumps, etc). Try to get a news reporter to the meeting.
