Topic: Cougar 203 Hybrid

Before the news storm of the 2022's hit, I just want to put this out there. I owned a 2006 PIV that recently sold. I was loaned a Cougar 203 Hybrid for my weekend tournament. I understand that a lot has changed from 2006 to 2021, but this hybrid rode like a dream! I have ordered a new Caracal, and won't be changing that, but this hybrid is seriously a beast. The one I had was equipped with Pro XS 300, and I am no speed demon by any stretch, but once I trimmed this boat out, before I got the nudge from my fishing partner (wife), I was doing 71 - it scared ME! I backed off, she typically would give me the kick, nudge, elbow about 60 in the PIV, I don't even know if she knew we were doing 70mph! I'll tell you this, in the right hands, I bet this thing would literally fly!! This boat has dual power poles, Garmin electronics, and trolling motor, what a treat for the weekend, and we caught fish on Fayette!! I have no clue what 2022 will bring for models, but if you were on the fence about the hybrid, I can tell you, it's nice!
