Cougar tackle storage

I’m not a BC owner yet but trying to find one that fits my budget. I’m curious how some of y’all stow and organize your 3700 size tackle boxes in the Cougar? I’ve found a 2014 FTD that might be the one but every picture I’ve found of the stowing of tackle boxes in this model just has them laying in the center lockers. I searched the forum on this topic and didn’t come up with anything. Any feedback appreciated.

I had a 14 Cougar advantage elite, little different deck than the FTD but kept 10-12 3700 boxes and some plastics in rear box on deck and more plastics and some odds and ends in the forward box, mine did not have day box or net scabbard; I believe that was the main difference between the FTD and advantage elite. Both rod boxes were full of rods, kept spare life jackets under rods in one box. I carry a ton of tackle and had plenty room. I used the back deck boxes and under seat storage for rain gear tools and spare prop. I have an Eyra now and love the coffin lids but it doesn’t have as much room as the Cougar.

The 3700s were stacked side by side all the way across the rear box, I separated my plastics in large zip lock bags, there were enough them so the 3700s would not slide forward.

Many Cougar FTD owners just stack 3700 boxes in the center locker, but you can add an aftermarket tray (like from AMPD Marine) to keep them organized and upright.
