might well have been. Claimed to also be running 6 turbines at something north of 35,000 cubic feet per second generating. (1-800-lakes11, coosa river, lay dam).Probably should have let my son and dog out and made a run downstream to set a new personal best of close to 80 if not breaking it. Best run so far has been 78.5 one direction, minimal current. Best two way average (not that day, some jet skis prevented any run back up the river) was 77. Think it might have touched 80 with that 1.8-1.9 current and the original 10mph down-river wind. Probably NOT going tomorrow as the river was an obstacle course yesterday with the following floating downstream; (1) sunken boat hull, looked to be 22 or so, cabin-style boat, probably had been sitting shallow somewhere for years; (2) multiple logs including one that appeared to be a 30 or so light pole; (3) one 5-6 long steel tank that looked like either an O2 or Acetylene welders tank. Any of which would have claimed a lower unit if hit no doubt; (4) one huge clump of weeds, leaves and such that reminded me of some of the floating vegetation islands on the big O in Florida. One thing they didnt do is lower the water. When I checked it was at 395.8 or so, which is full pool at Lay.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
