I have noticed that the Bass Cat decal on the rear (starboard side) has started to peel. I imagine from a tree brushing up against or something. It is not bad but of course there is a place that has lifted up. There is gel coat over the decals (naturally). What is the best way to repair this? How about some scratches on the boat and decal? In the past I have used minor rubbing compound on oxidation and scratches on another boat. I do not worry about scratches (gonna get some when you fish the stuff) but when you are detailing and doing some things you might as well fix them if you can. Are you guys OK with using rubbing compound? Thanks Moose
There is no gelcoat over the decals, they are simple stick on decals. Just remove all the glue adhesive and clean the area, then replace a new one there. BCB
