If you have a shop you trust, you ought to be able to run over there and let them take the measurements. It is not a “rocket science” type of construction project as clearances are not measured in .001″ increments. The thing sits on top of the glass lip, it just needs to be made the correct thickness so that the carpet you glue on it is at the same level as the carpet that is around it.I have one with no storage compartment, just a lid that provides access to the ice chest the thing covers up. Only down side is it is tough on older knees. I rarely use mine, mainly if I know I am going to have three people fishing which I try to avoid.
