Depth Flashing

You might want to try turning up your ping speed. Sometimes that will help you track a little better when runnning down the lake.

I have a P4 and when I am on plane, my depth flashes on the X-27 as well as the dash-mount unit once I hit around 4200 rpms. My friend has a Puma, and it does the same thing. Any idea of what I need to do so I can keep a visual on my depth while driving at higher speeds or is this normal operation?

More than likely normal operation. As said above, turn up the ping speed and you might see some improvement, but more than likely this is the speed at where you’re going to lose signal. Good luck!

With the nose tucked, most keep bottom contact between 50 and 60 MPH. Though above those speeds, they have air turbulence and will loose bottom.
