Detwiler Jack plate problem

I have a 2009 Puma Ftd with less than 200hrs. The motor was getting slower and slower moving up and down. Now it only works intermittently and very very slow when it does work. Anyone know what the problem is?

It is probably a motor if youve kept it lubricated and greased. We dont know if this is a Detwiler, or a Sea Star model. Its close to either side?

The manual says Detwiler by Marinetech. The relays click when I hit blinker trim adjustmentBut nothing now. Any ideas on what and where I can buy the motor if thats the problem?Very important tournament next weekend. Really need to get it fixed this week

We may have a salvage unit you could disassemble and use the parts from. It will require a butane torch to bust the LokTite free on the allen screws. BCB

Isnt it just a trim motor from a 50 horse merc? Heck det probably overnight you one if you begged? They sure were nice to me On my 09 puma ftd when I had a motor Issue-C.O.D. Jr. III

Some were the 125 Mercury trim motor later years, older ones with four 1/4″ stem bolts around the cylinder were not and had specialty pumps.
