detwiler vs. atlas mounting hole location to transom

Essentially the same. The top of both will likely be notched at the top to make space for the aluminum strip on top of the transom. Both will also mount virtually flush with the top of the transom as well.

One thing to keep in mind is the pump. Detwiler has a self contained pump (my preference) and the Atlas has it in the bilge.

thanks for the info.the detwiler i have has been great until this year when it wants to chatter only while lowering.fluid is full,zerks are greased,and all nuts and bolts are tight back there.even cleaned the shafts.and now its out of warranty.any suggestions as to the fix or anyone experience my issue?thanks
