The DEP installed a new dock on our local lake, which has white rubber bumper rails on it. I had my nonboater hold my boat in place by the dock while I got my truck and loaded the boat. I guess he let the boat rub on the dock, because when I got home, I noticed I had a few 4 to 5 inch white marks on my rub rail. What’s the best way to get these white rubber marks off? I thought perhaps a magic eraser, but wanted to ask you guys for help first. Any feedback would be most appreciated. Steve
White bumbers on courtesy docks in Missouri too. Try Goof Off-works great. Then I wipe my rub rail down with the same stuff I use on my tires. Shines it like new.
Goof-Off and a Magic Eraser as suggested. Ive also used Pro-Tec Vinyl cleaner with the ME for tough stains and scuff marks on vinyl and rubber. Works well. I use the Showroom Polish on the rub rail. Doesnt scuff as easily.
Rub Rail, it is for rubbing. Its science. Bass Boat Saver usually takes out the scuff marks for me with a little bit of elbow grease to add to it.- Chaz
