You didnt say how old your boat was. Id just replace it. I would think a repair would just come loose again. Removing it and thoroughly cleaning with alcohol before installing the new one should be your best choice.

Both sides eventually peeled off my P2 (2013) I just replaced them. I called BCB and told them what happened, and since my boat was new at the time, they sent to me FOC!Jeff

One on my 2014 Sabre FTD came off first time in the water. Just running up and down the lake a few times. I bought a new one and replaced it. Prep is extremely important in sticking stuff on. I would say the first one had a film of something left on the boat and just didnt stick very well.Dan

The BCB decals on the hull are more susceptible to damage as most boats dont have hull decals on the rear corners where they get contact to many things. You bump stuff all the time with those rear corners, or things but those rear corners.

Ive bumped both of mine on my 07 and scuffed them. Good padding for the corners, Ill say that.Anybody got any tips on prepping the hull and applying new ones? Want to make sure I get it done right the first time.

Acetone or alcohol…both if the former is used for cleaning and the latter is used to lubricate the person doing the work 🙂

When mine came off, I found it easier to get the sticky residue off first with goo gone. Then I used alcohol. Like Dan says, a warm day or heat gun.

Goo Gone, wash, rinse, dry, wipe down with alcohol. Denatured for cleaning, bottled for getting in the right frame of mind to do the job. LOL
