DUAL CONSOLE OR NOT?

I bought a 2013 p2 it was a single console. My better half which is my sole partner. I could not deny this wish. All weight changes performance to a degree. As far as flat out running. Maybe 1mph.if that. To be honest I cant tell any performance changes. Though your gna hear a mixed bagged of opinions on this one. We really like our dual console . the install was simple of ( some picture of boat both ways in my profile) . Me personally I would never own anot her boat without a second console. The pluses outweigh the negatives in our cases by far. Oh wait! Ive found no NEGATIVES. It will change the way you get your rods out though. Took about one trip. I feel my wife deserves the protection and security of the console as much as me. But remember my opinion is one and each to his own! Ive had both, and everybody I fish with likes having their console. Be it family or friends, I rarely fish alone and this would lead me to my decision.

My current Cat is a dual console and my previous was a single. A single is better for tournament fishing since you will have more room to swing fish aboard and move around. A DC is better if you like your tournament partner or if you are fishing with family. Both DC and SCs have their pros and cons, and it is truly a personal preference. I think the removable console option is the way to go. Put it in when you want it in, and take it out when you dont. My next Cat will have that option if it is still offered.

I have a second console on my Sabre. Dont think Id own one without.

I purchased my 14 Model Eyra with a single. I added a passenger console. Definitely easier dealing with the rods, in and out the locker. Also more room with the rods while tournament fishing. After installing the second console, I removed the rod organizer and use rod socks. This has made removing and installing the rods a breeze.Like others, my wife fishes often with me, and the second console is a no brainer for her. Currently own a dual. My next rig will be single console. The duals take up room and get in the way.

Always liked a DC for my partner which is primarily my wife. I have the quick release console in my Caracal but have not removed it since Ive had the boat.

My preferenced is single console and I have owned a couple of dual consoles. the single console floor space is nice, I am all about floor space these days, I am a Big guy. I told my fishing partner if he wanted to make every other payment on my boat then I would order a dual console, other than that I told him to dress warm in the winter months and wear a hat in the summer month if he is worried about his hair getting messed up, cause its windy over there.

Ive had both before. My current boat (2012 Cougar FTD) had a dual console. I fished with the second console in for maybe three months. I took the second console out. Much more room! Now I do not fish with my wife. If I did, I would guess the second console would still be in. My fishing buddies just bundle up and ride. If they want a console, they can buy their own boat:).
