We use SeaFoam.

Seafoam and a water separating fuel filter. I only get to use my boat 4-5 times a year. Lots of sitting around. With seafoam in the tank I do not see water in my separator which means to me that the seafoam is working.

Ive used SeaFoam in all my boats since 1999. Knock on wood, Ive never had to have motor work other than maintainence on any of my rigs.

I use the quicksiler made by mercury.

I use the Quicksilver cocktail. Quickleen and Quickcare, 1 oz each per 6 gallons. Im very fortunate to have a station that sells non-ethanol fuel a couple miles from the house. First few times I went out my Opti smoked like crazy. After about a tank with the mix it settled down and now it runs very smooth.No smoke, smooth idle, and runs like a scalded dog. I believe its also recommended as an ethanol treatment. I use Stabil storage treatment, Stabil methanol treatment, and Lucas fuel injector treatment. In my boat, in my truck. Never a problem.

What type of fuel(89,91,93) do you use when non-ethanol fuel isnt available for your mercs?
