Yes, that would be the process to remove the spindle nut and then put the hub on in an emergency.

Okay, I have had spare hub on every BassCat trailer I have ever owned. And have never had to use thank goodness. BUT………. Is there any written info on how to remove from the spare location, and how to replace bad hub? Remove the wheel if necessary for clearance, which should be necessary. Then knock off the Bearing Buddy and the spindle nut will be exposed. Remove the key way (cotter pin) in the spindle nut and unscrew the nut. Carefully remove the top washers and lift the hub off. Then reverse the process to install it on the axle. You will have to lock out the brakes if the hub was a brake axle and this keeps the parts or fluid from releasing. Then you can travel on without brakes carefully.

There is a lever on the front coupler that locks the coupler. It has a rotating groove with a lock offset. You may have to tape it in place.
