my buddy spilled coffee in my new sabre and cant keep his feet off the cap. Can you all say gator bait!
FloridaJ, If hes really a buddy the coffee wont bother you, and will clean up,,,,the shoes on the cap will take some explanations on your part, and maybe a towel and some wax on his part before he understands your concerns ! But it is a boat,,,,,, and will clean up just fine,,,,,until he does like my buddy and flops about a three pound slimy catfish over into your seat and floor leaving a trail like a slug ! ,,,,,,,Then follows that up with a nice five poung “goo” flopping all over the rear half of the boat, leaving remnants of mussells and crawfish all over the carpet !,,,,Then he TRIES to spit over the side of the boat from a sitting in the fishing seat position !!!!!

Good tournament partners are hard to find…when you find one dont divorce him Trust me, I had a good one once and he retired at age 27 and moved on to other things. It has been down hill since. (I am not talking about pant2, we just fun fish the tournaments together) Oh and no way does Doug have more than one buddy…the guy was with him waiting for him to crack open that cooler Judd Lasiter
Ive never found a good tournament partner,,,,,,so i wouldnt know,,,,,,i guess in need to talk to Phil ! Anyway, i am blessed with way more than one buddy ! I have Ward, P.A., Luke, Gary, my regular t partner Bill, and my sons. Well, maybe your right,,,,,,i may just have one ! But at least i carry food in the boat !
Judd, glad you clarified the remark about partners. Really enjoy our times on the water. Now if I can keep you and your 250 to under warp speed I may still have a few hairs on my head when I turn 70. (That sounds old) I now have lost hair in three different states out of your Puma and now your Cougar FTD. Dont have a lot to spare anymore. Will call you later in week. pant 2 BOB
My long time fishing partner found a woman that loves to fish. Never think that you are inseparable. The hardest part of it is that I am a minister and he ask me to marry him. I wonder, is it inappropriate if I object when I ask if anyone has any legal reason that these two should not be joined? I have now inherited my brother who I grew up fishing with and although he is a little rusty sometimes, I love fishing with him. The scary part with him is he is expecting his 5th child in May 08. Time will tell how this works out. I dont mind about the fish slime and all the other thing mentioned as much but when I say ” be sure not to put that spotlight face down on the carpet when you set it down.” and I turn around 10 minutes later and smell that funny burning smell only to see the HOT spotlight face down on the carpet….. or the partner that always tries to throw 70 ft behind the boat in the opposite direction you are going and constantly gets hung up and you have to stop forward momentum get him undone and as soon as you get back to the original position, he has thrown to the same spot and got hung up again.. These are my pet peeves. Hello Basstrooper and all,I give my buddy only a few trys at going back for his rig. 3 strikes rule applies! Lucky for him he throws a worm most of the time so it doesnt cost him much pain. Not like retriving a lucky craft you know. I always get his goat and tell him he needs to practice in his pool or something. There was that one time his entire rod wnet over the side and I would not stop. KARMA! My $170 KVD setup went over the very next week just as I was taking the frog hook out of a lunker. It slpipped under slowly and silently. SUCKED! I had to order a new setup the very next day I was so upset. Back to my buddy, maybe someone could tell him the gas aint free either! He is a good fishin buddy though and always shows up on time and is ready to go. I guess I cant complain because I cant get anyone else to go with me in the gator infested waters of the everglades. When they run those pumps and that water starts moving it becomes a horror movie out in the Loxahatchee. I have got to post a picture for you all to see. Im talking 12 footers and biger all over the place. DO NOT FALL OFF THE BOAT DUDE! Next time out expect some pics of this horror show Im talking about. Not my buddy but the gator fellas. ps: Any tips on getting the old lady in the boat? My wife is stubborn. I shouldnt complain since she is a huge footbal fan and we watch football all Sunday long. 1pm game till the night game and Monday start to fisnish. I will shut up now boys.
I learned something with an x about sharing hobbies — it was golf. A few years ago I was serious about my game. My wife always seemed interested in taking up the game so I thought great. It didnt work out that way. We started going out and she was all laughs and giggles hitting the ball all over the place (or not hitting it at all!). We would start backing up the course and I would get more and more frustrated with each hole until we started snapping at each other. It was NO fun at all. I read an article afterwards saying this was a common problem with couples trying to share a hobby. The reasons we were out were different. I was trying to score, she was out to socialize and have fun. I think the same principle applies to fishing. With my new wife, I tone down my seriousness when we go out together. If we catch fish thats fine but if we dont, thats ok too. Im blessed with a wonderful woman that understands I enjoy my hard core fishing time as well. Maybe one day her skills will get better and shell catch the fever and “feel the rush.” But until then when were out together Ill tone it down and enjoy our time as a blessing — nothing like being out on the water (in our BassCat) with a wonderful woman, even if you dont catch anything.
