Hey guys,Have any of you used a underwater light to fish at night?? I made a green LED light with 15 of cord to give it a try. I know crappie guys do it but I wondered if bass guys do it too. If so what would you throw to try to catch something? It is so hot I like to try to night fish a few times a year on Ky Lake and thought Id take my son with me. I was thinking that the light might help attract the fish and get them feeding if I can get a baitball forming. Ill let the boy fish with minnows under a bobber for crappie and I was hoping to catch some bass. Would you throw a spinner, blade bait, crank, rattle, Bama rig? Ill throw all Im sure but wanted to know what was productive for others if they have tried it.Thanksctford
Ive done it on Bull Shoals a few times , and just fishing minnows might surprise you . — Ive caught crappie , walleye , bass , ( black and brown ) perch , and bluegill from the same baitball . — Give it a try and just wait for the fun . — Hoss
I found a dock a few nights ago on lake Hamilton with underwater lights on it, first one Ive found with those style lights (I dont usually fish lakes with homes), and was curious about the same thing. I dont know if 15 would be long enough or not, thought about trying to find on battery operated and attach it to a marker buoy or something like that maybe???
