Florida boating regulations for nonresident boats

I think that’s true in all states.  I know it is around here in NY, VT, NH, MA, ME, CT.  I think as long as you meet that state insurance requirement you should be good to go.

Just came back from Okeechobee to Ohio. Yes as long as the boat is registered correctly in your state, other than Coast guard required safety gear you are good to go.

The only exceptions we know of, across the USA, are regulations governing invasive species, which may require a state inspection. In some areas you may need a federal waterway stamp.

Its similar to your vehicle, where interstate commerce permits you to pass state lines, as long as your compliant with the regulations and law in your home state.

No special regulations specific tp Florida waters regarding the Coast Guard..  HOWEVER, Florida allows you to carry a firearm in your boat and I personally never go on the water there without mine just as a precaution against big toothy critters and cottonmouths which at times can get agressive. I have had them even here in Ohio craw into a boat…LOL. Fortunately it crawled right across and went out the opposite side. Guess the snake did not want to swim around my boat….LOL.

Good luck and if you get a chance slide over to Headwaters Lake. It is near Blue Cypress Lake, not far from Toho, and is a new lake similar to the Stick Marsh and is absolutely on Fire….

What Boat Ramp location is at Headwaters Lake. That whole Stick Marsh mapping is hard to follow with the routes.

Headwaters Lake boat ramp directions are easy to follow. The Headwaters Lake is located on Babcock St. at the very south end of Brevard county.

The Boat launch ramp is accessed by taking a west turn onto the Fellsmere grade road which is on the south side of the C54 canal.

Once you are headed west on the Fellsmere grade road it is about 4 miles to the boat ramp parking lot with the entrance on the south side of the road.

You can gain entrance to the ramp one hour before sunrise and you must leave the ramp no later than one hour after sunset.
