Fuel Tank/Primer Bulb

You could do some checks. First disconnect your fuel line from the problem tank and plug the line and see if the primer bulb locks up. If it does than your problem is in the tank, if not then it is in the fuel lines or valve. I am suspecting the anti-siphon valve (the gray valve on the tank) may be bad.

It is in the pick up tube inside the tank or something has lodged against the pick up tube in that same tank. It could be a bottle seal, wrapper or something?

Or…………It could be something as simple as holding the primer bulb with arrow up while pumping. Thanks for all the input. Shef nailed it, Thanks Brofessor.

The primer bulb has a diaphragm in the bulb. If it’s not sealing and you elevating the end is required to relieve the air, then the diaphragm is not sealing. Granted that air pushed into the lines with it flat or even down, though it should still seal and that air is existing in the line to push out either way. It should run uphill to the VST (fuel pump) and press through either way.
