fury vs raker

have any of you e-rude brothers compared raker vs raker2 vs fury? still havnt made up my mind if iwant to spend the dough on a fury yet!!! I have a 26 R2 and a 25 Renegade.Pete

I have (2) Raker II for my 150HO on my Sabre. They are the best for my boat and motor combo from what Ive read on here and from the previous owner off my boat. He ran every prop available before picking these two.Adam

I just got a new PIV with a 200HO, it came with a 24 Raker 2, I have a 24 Fury worked by Mark Croxton and a 25 and 26 Fury on the way. I havent put it in the water yet. Were at 2400 feet above sea level, Im hoping the 25 fury will work here and the 26 at sea level, well see.Im running a 24 fury on my 02 jag with a 225 Merc and its on the limiter in cool weather, but the 25 fury was too much for it. As soon as I can figure which props will work Ill post it. Mike

i found on the etecs i have fooled with on the cats the fury was a much better all around wheel. The R2 is soft and if you fish a lot of shallow junk like we do down here they dont last long. I have seen the R2s be faster on some boats if you get a good one but i havent seen many last long in shallow water. the fury usually has a better holeshot and on my rides was faster. I would find a 25 or 26 fury to try if possible. Oh they say you are not suppossed to run the old school pressed in hub rakers on the etecs due to higher exhaust temps may melt the rubber hub. that was from a BRP service rep for what its worth.

only you can change the insert on the tempest you cant with a pressed in hub!!!!!!!! that is unusual to see it melt a flo torque hub must be some hot exhaust gases!!!!!!

I have owned a 200HO and a 250HO now.200HO fastest with 26 tempest on a p4 vs raker(not II) 26.250HO for me is fastest with a worked 26 raker(not II) that had significant work done on it by the guys at Mazco. Easily 2mph faster than 25 fury that has been B&Bd.Like Doug said though the raker is not as good out of the hole.C.O.D. Jr. III

Does anyone know if BRP is working on a competitive blade to fury?
