That is some fine rigs for sure. My old beat up Classic wouldnt have fit in. I bet Sam recieved alot of attention trailering that Purple and Gold rig through La. Chris, there were 5 rigs w/ two fiddys on them so it depends on who was driving and what time of the day it was. There was two 08s mine and Phils so I would have to say his or mine depending on which one he was driving. The dude can flat drive a boat. I got mine to 77 the weekend before with 2 guys loaded down but he was able to get it up to 78 and his runs real close to that if not the same. He is running a tuned prop and I am running a factory prop. So in other words tough call on which one was fastest. They all run about the same speed w/ PA behind the wheel…did I mention the dude can flat out drive a boat. I just thought I knew what I was doing but I learned a little something from him. I drove every 20+ footers there except for Bob Andersons Evinrude setup which we all know wont hang and Sams boat! Sams boat has too many gadgets on it for it to run! Of the other 4 that I drove theres not much difference in any of them as far as top end speed. The Tidemans was the slowest, but he was totin 50 gallons of gas! I guess he thought we were going to run over to T Bend or Rayburn by boat from the Red River.All ran between 77-78 loaded with two people. The slowest boat there was a P4/Merc combo. It needs some attention and should do a little better with some effort by the owner. Its not like the owner doesnt have all the time in the world to put a little effort into his setup.
