Gas smell from rod locker

I’ve read some forums that say it’s normal but it doesn’t feel like it. Very strong gas smell coming from rod locker. I can smell it most of the day fishing. Leave the rod locker open for a day and it’s there but very faint. Zero smell in battery compartment or any other compartment and no gas or leaks back there. Any suggestions? 2013 Sabre.

It’s not normal on most Bass Cat models, though older ones have the plastic olefin tanks that do have micro vaporing. The newer tanks are non-permeable and have a liner.

Your tank is under the seat, and you can remove the seat pan for safety sake and to be sure nothing is compromised.
