I used to use 1/2 can of seafoam every trip to the gas station, and its worked great for years. I cant always get non-ethanol gas conveniently, and when I cant – I look for a high volume store that sells top tier fuel. Seafoam contains a lot of alcohol to remove / absorb water. With Mercs limit on alcohol at 10% – if you use ethanol fuel, you could easily go above the 10% . I just use the quickleen & quickare now. If all I was running was pure gas – I wouldnt hesitate to run the seafoam again. A few years ago, the E-10 was typically 6% – 7%. As militant as they are now on the subject – were probably getting the full 10%.
