Starting and stopping in thick grass will often lead to the grass getting wrapped around the prop and repeated attempts to clear the prop and get the motor going. We have taken the ultimate trolling motor, and custom machined what is arguably the ultimate prop for heavy vegetation to fit. We combined this custom prop with a custom prop nut designed to serve two main purposes – Stabilize the prop on the ghost, and make it easier to remove the nut and prop in the event you get someone’s discarded line wrapped up behind the prop. I bought one and ran it for 7 days, at least 8 hours a day on the trolling motor, I like it a lot better than the stock prop. It is quieter and better balanced! Didn’t get in any weeds, but I’ve run this prop up here on a MK and it holds up a lot better in rock than the factory Ghost prop. Expensive, but worth it.
