Got Wet

I didnt think you could get wet in a BC! Just kidding, but Saturday was my first time getting soaked. The wind was whipping on Amistad at 30 plus and the waves were pretty crazy. I was the only nut I saw out on the main lake — wow, what a ride. But Ill tell you what, I was sure glad I was in my P-2. My prop, Tempest 25, was having trouble biting at times. Will I do better with a Trophy?

the Trophy handles better in rough water (in my opinion) so you might want to consider it for that reason. But, more important, how was the fishing?

Amistad can get rough,,,,quick ! But always a place to have a big day, and possibility of a big bag. Glad the P2 did well, and with a little common sense you can handle the big waves. Its the rollers that get you ! Ive been wet there before, and look forward to going back next March. And yes, the Trophy will handle the rough water better, and easier to drive, imho, D.

Thanks. I did ok with a lot of qauntity but nothing big. It was too rough to fish the main lake so I was pretty limited fishing mostly coves. A lot of small keepers in the skinny water, the big ones still must be out deeper I guess. OBTW, I figured out how to catch fish with frogs. I had a tangle so I wasnt paying attention to the bait when my pole bent in half. The biggest fish of the trip hooked herself. I guess Im better off closing my eyes! lol
