Anytime someone gets bad service they always complain. Typically when you have great service it goes unsaid. However, I was practicing on T Bend Friday in protected areas. When getting out to the main lake that south wind was blowing 20 to 25. I was coming from way north of Pendleton back down to Cypress Bend. Even in a P4, the best rough water boat in its class.......it was a tad bumpy. I hit some waves just right just out of Patroon and those darn stainless steel rivets in the Motorguide trolling motor shaft busted. Both of them! Panic set in.....put on the trailer and went driving around. Tournament director told us of a Motorguide shop just down from Toledo Tackle. I went there and my man was just closing up shop. I told him what happened and he told me he was out of rivets. Just my luck. But the real luck was when I told him I was fishing a FOM tournament the next day and he went back inside, got a loaner trolling motor and simply asked that I drop it back by after the tournament. Wow.....dont see that these days. Hes also a merc mechanic, fiberglass repair and motorguide dealer. If you guys are in the north TBend area, this guy is just awesome and still understands how to do business. I left my motor with him to get the business when I could have easily brought it back to Houston for someone here to fix. He was closed and I dont have a business card but the owners name is Don and his shop is just south of Toledo Tackle on the right on the Louisiana side. He left me a voice mail today just to tell me the parts are ordered and the expected fix date. Wow.
Its good to hear positive stories like this from people that still know how to do good business. KentKent Charles 2002 Pantera Classic & 200 Yamaha VMax
