Greers Ferry??? How high is it and is damsite park ramp still going to be usable for bfl

I had planed to fish a smaller tourney this weekend on ouachita and skip my first bfl in a really long time but ouachita is rising in a hurry Mountain Harbor was our scheduled ramp and i just checked it and it likes 1-2 ft from goin under. My other option is the BFL on Greers and they are goin outta damsite park ramp. I never used this ramp before so i dont know a thing about it i always use narrows or Devils Fork. Is anyone farmiliar with it or have they heard if the ramp will be accesable on saturday. Now i have to make a quick decision 2morrow night on wether to go to greers or stay here and see if they change ramps. Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance. Derek

I have not been in a long time, but it usually is high enough from the spring fill!!!!, very large ramp area!!! even in the summer, I have seen as many as 15-20 boats loading at one time!!!

Thanks Buckeye… No i just have to wait and see if the tourney on ouachita is moved or postponed…. I am just trying to gather info so i can weigh my options…..

I looked at that Ramp Friday and it was closed but not because of water height. I imagine the damsite ramp at Greers is more than fine. The lake has risen a few feet since Saturday but that ramp is 10 above lake level at least.C.O.D. Jr. III

went by there and its way out of water. Today lake was 6 feet higher than last week. Great news for us locals because our ” COE” was dropping water off fish trying to spawn . If it wasnt for lake comeing up they would have acomplised it… Its going to make fishing tougher but a great spawn again this year… yooo hoooo!!

Sounds like a flippin/ power fishin bite will win. I bet everything north of the narrows will be a mud hole.

I was at Greers with my son on Saturday morning, launched at Narrows and fished in the storms. Saw in the paper Monday where the lake had risen 2.5 feet since Saturday night. Higden was stained mud, narrows was clear…probably not anymore. I was there last sat in the rain. MAN DID IT RAIN!! South Fork had alot of junk floating down. Watch out if you go up there! You can see most of the raft, but there could be a stray floater! All the water from Sugar Loaf up was getting muddy fast. All the buck brush will be under now and from past trips, the fish will still be in there!
