One of the non boaters spilled some gulp alive, that Berkeley bait in liquid , and it has caused a stain I cant seem to get out of the carpet. I think the residual stain keeps attracting more dirt. Ive dealt with the non boater but now need a solution for the stain. Tried vinegar and water, car soap and water....any suggestions?Bob
Good luck! Stains can be a PITA! My guess is the stain is oil base and you will need something that will cut grease like dishwashing soap or something just short of bleach.
Isnt it odd that its always the non boater who spills stuff on the carpet. You might try using Bassboat Saver on the carpet. Im have used it to remove a lot of stains, grease, spike it dye, etc from my carpet.
I have had several severe stains such as motor oil and bearing grease find a way on the carpet. I have used Dawn dish washing liquid and Go Jo. I have managed to get all the stains up without damaging the color to the carpet. Use a little cleaner and lots of water and a small scrub brush. Use a wet vac to help clean and dry. It may take several applications to clean up. Apply only to the area of the carpet where the stain is located. Observe color fastness of carpet after each application dries.
