I dont know why on these days i always want to hold a M-14 ?Probably because its a much better weapon than the “Gee its swell, its made by Matell” piece of junk we were issued over seas. The early M-16s were crap in my opinion.

I was one of the Lucky ones who got issued a M-16 A1 in 1974. San Diago, Camp Pendilton, The big Mountain that I cant mention, KP duty, sand pit, gas chamber. What a life back then hahaha
Mount (blank, blank) is famous to all Marines. The M-14 is a beast of a weapon, never jams. Happy Birthday to all my brothers in arms. Marine for life is true, I have heard from more old buddies today than i have in the 4 yrs i have been out.
