Help! Can not Disconnect Alarm-Screeching!

I have a 2008 Pantera Classic that I keep in my warehouse. A worker went to retrieve a ladder and called to tell me my alarm on my boat was going off. I went to the warehouse, Disconnected my battery charger and checked all the switches to make sure they were off. After some time I found the vision control panel on the right side of the console was not powered. Everything else seems to be working, batteries fully charged. I had replaced the vision panel before. (Has the horn, bait well, bilge pump and light switches on a Plastic switch stick-on round plate.) I figured the panel was bad again, and ordered another from basscat. I also found that my bilge pump and the pump by it were running. I figured that the vision panel was shorted, so I removed it from its round plate and unplugged it. The alarm still was running including the pumps. I was able to unplugg the pumps to turn them off, but no telling how long they had been running, but I would guess several days if not more. A friend got under the Console and unplugged everything around the screeching alarm he could find but it could not be turned off! I did not feel like disconnecting the battery, so it is still screeching. My boat security system was never turned on. Im hoping that theres some connection between the vision panel and the alarm that would be causing this.There is no wiring diagram. I ordered three Pump inserts because I think running dry would have ruined the impellers? Basscat parts and a mechanic had no workable suggestions.Have any other owners experienced condition? Hi BBC,I ordered a new Round Touch Pad (Vision?) and also three pump inserts from Mike, Bass Cat Boats, yesterday to the tune of about $200+ bucks. I had a stroke in January 2013, totally paralyzed on right side although through rehab I have recovered about 80% of my previous abilities. I have no trouble driving my boat, but I do feel Insecure when I try to get up to the front seat. The one thing Im unhappy with about my boat is the location of my trolling pedal so far up over the bow. I was disappointed with that feature when it was new, but with my limitations now, its really hard to get in and out of the seat and feel secure. I did buy a Minn Koda Trolling Motor with the remote control , but unfortunately I changed my mind on the self deploying one (told it would stick out too far) and that was a mistake. Off the subject: my point is my boat has been in an enclosed warehouse since last time I used it in January. Since I had my stroke, I doubt I put more than 50 or 60 hours on it. Ive already replaced the round touch pad once, and it goes bad in storage? Im hoping the alarm will burn itself out. Question, is there a wiring diagram available that would let me trace this system out. My last Bass Cat Sabre came with a wiring diagram that came in handy more than once. I received my new stick on Vision round control panel today. It is really a pain to install in the limited space available. I finally cut away about a 4 x 2″ piece of fiberglass to gain access to the multi pin plug to plug in the new round panel plug. I also removed 1 screw to move the plug-in panel for better access. In the process, I discovered the #*##$# alarm, mounted on the PC Board; a 1 inch round Cylinder, screaming away!! I put tape over it! After all that work (3 hours) nothing changed! The new panel is dead, no power and the alarm is still screaming +2 pumps continue to run. It is obvious that the circuit board has power, (the alarm is screaming and two pumps continue to run), so it appears there is no power going to the round Multi-control pad. (Vision) So Im asking again, where or why is there no wiring diagram available? I noticed that I was not the only one that asked this question. I see what looks like square control modules mounted on the control circuit Board And I am assuming they control the Horn, Bait well, bilge pump, and Lights. I had two pumps that continued to run until I unplugged the power to the pumps. Since that would involve more than one control module, it looks like there is a power problem with the circuit board they are mounted on. If I had a diagram Im sure I could check that out. Otherwise I guess my next move would be to order the Control panel, And a very expensive way to troubleshoot this problem. I would hope that someone on the forum would have experienced this same problem and may be to give me a suggestion or tell me where I might find a wiring diagram for my 2008 Pantera Classic? I am very frustrated and still need help. I think my closest Bass Cat dealer must be Mountain Home, Arkansas? Any suggestions really appreciated.Skipjack68Palatka Florida

Aquatech marine located in Palm Bay is Bass Cats Florida dealer. Rob the owner is very knowledgeable. You may also try a local auto electric shop, some of those folks have a lot of experience in 12 volt problems. FYI

Thanks bassinman for the dealers name. I spent 43 years in the Electronics Sales & Service business and five years as a Navy Electronics Tech. (I am an old guy) I pioneered just about every piece of electronics sold in my hometown since 1953. Ive always have done my own boat electrical work, so I would know whats failing when something stopped working. The vision pad that Ive already replaced before is a little different animal and I suspect the controls module that it plugs into is the problem. I had a schematic of my Bass Cat Sabre and installed all the electronics myself when they needed to be replaced. Its just frustrating not to be able to have an operating manual and schematic on a boat costing well over $40,0000. (2008-dollars) I have always been proud of my Bass Cat Boats and I have had some wonderful conversations with both of the Pierces when I fished in the 2006 Company Tournament in my Sabre and again in 2008 when I picked up my new Pantera Classic in Mountain Home.. The Pierces and the Bass Cat Family have really been great with personal service and quality products. (I bought my 1991 Sabre from Ron, (His personal boat then), sight unseen and it was delivered to Florida when it was about six months old. I still get a lot of ” Nice Boat” at the ramps even though my classic is now 10 years old! Wordy, but I dont want anyone to suspect that I am upset with the Bass Cat People! Thanks again,Skipjack68

We are certain that parts will replace the control module. That part has been very dependable, while the touch pad is less so. BCB
