No…dont use a razor blade. Heat them up with a hair dryer and they should peel off fairly easily. Then you can use Goo Gone or something like it, to get rid of any adhesive thats left behind.

Only use plastic next to the gel, and WD40 or goo remover as mentioned.

Another option that worked for me is the rotary eraser. Im unsure of the trade name for the product, but it is a round rubber eraser that mounts to your rotary drill. Probably the only place to find it is your local auto-body paint/supply shop. They are designed to remove decals from cars. When I bought my Jaguar, the previous owner had his name stickered all over the boat, trailer, and cowling. That little wonder took care of them all, with NO damage to the finish. It does fling rubber all over the place, but it wipes off easily.

I put all new decals on my 01-P-III a few months ago and it was a pretty simple project. Decided after nine years to change the decal colors and give my P-III a new look!Bought a plastic putty knife / wallpaper scraper from Home Depot for $1.29 and with the help of a hair dryer set on medium heat, gently peeled the old stickers right off with little problem.Got the residual adhesive boogers off with Goo-Be-Gone.The hardest part of this project was re-applying the new stickers LEVEL and back in the SAME location where I thought they used to be.

I replaced all the old decals on my 2006 Saber with the newer BCB decals. I had a place that deals in doing graphics replace the decals. If they make a mistake its on them not me.

Decals are really easy and a do it your self job. There is no reason to employ a company unless you prefer to save yourself work. The time to transport the rig might be more than the labor to tackle the job for many.
