Topic: Help with 1994 Eyra prop

Have a 1994 Eyra with a 175 Mercury EFI. Seem to be spinning too many RPMs with a 23 Tempest (6500RPMs). 2 3/4" below pad, 6" setback on manual jackplate. Was thinking of maybe running a 25 Tempest Plus or 25 Trophy Plus. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My current prop has some dings on it so its time for it to be reworked and set aside as a spare. Just looking for some thoughts on a new wheel!

Those are unique rigs and ran a Predator PPS three blade propeller in 24 or 25 inches. Our suggestion would be a 24 Fury. BCB

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to compare to some of the other early model Eyras for help on it and just noticed that most ran the Tempest and Trophy propellers. Also the bow gets a little loose at speed but am able to drive through that. That was one reason I was looking at maybe a 4 blade Trophy. I will definately look into the Fury.

24 Fury is the starting point. I was told a Trophy wouldnt be very good on that boat. I currently have my 24 Tempest on, but with the 24 Fury, holeshot is very good, top end can still tick 6K rpms.1996 Eyra/175 Mariner Magnum EFI _in_ the_ house!!! Sounds like what Im lookin for. Bring the rpms down a bit and get a little faster holeshot. The majority of the holeshot issue is due to the damaged prop. The search for the Fury begins! Thanks for the help!
